We have discovered a new mental disorder, and as the discoverers, (we don’t care if that’s not a word) we officially have diagnosed ourselves with the first case.

This disorder, based off the Latin phrase “non-sequitur”, which means “does not follow” is a slew of things: speech impediments, lack of attention, nonsense.

A large part of the disease compromises one’s speech. Common symptoms include making up words, replacing words with facial expressions and movements, intermittent stuttering, forgetfulness and extreme difficulty in maintaining conversations that are both coherent and socially acceptable. 

Chronic sufferers have a very random train of thought. It almost isn’t even classified as a train of thought. At any given moment, a victim of non-sequititis can be thinking of something ridiculously out of topic - pertaining no relevance to their ongoing surroundings.

On the rare occasion that the sufferer completes a thought that makes sense, the completed thought can be described as stupid and unnecessary. 

The sufferer combats this affliction by using (and overusing) sarcasm, clapping, laughing, or shouting. 

Sufferers are rarely violent, but do tend to be hostile, especially if they’re hungry, tired or without a sufficient amount of caffeine or sugar in their bloodstream. 

While they tend to be friendly and amicable, closer relationships tend to be hard as communication with an individual that speaks as though they are perpetually intoxicated has proven to be both tiresome and frustrating. 

This is not a horoscope.

But whatever it is, it describes us.
